Sedum lanceolatum
Yellow Stonecrop
Growing up on a nursery I always associated Sedum with drought tolerance and heat. After decades of living in the mountains I still smirk seeing this one at 12,500 feet. Common and tiny, this plant finds its way into crevices, cracks and open gravel. The leaves can range from dull red to bright green and everything between.
