Description:

A. coerulea is the Colorado state flower, and an ubiquitous fixture of our high country. You'll find these from the lower montane in the Aspens all the way up to treeline and beyond. Like many of our colorful flowers, a pure white version of the same species also exists. This species is a parent of many hybrids available in the nursery trade, which are relatively drought tolerant, and extremely cold hardy.
