Description:

This plant is often called "Fireweed," however, there are several other plants with the same common name, which is why it's better to use scientific names. A fixture of the montane and subalpine, fireweed is a tall, incredibly showy plant with racemes covered in pink flowers. You'll find large patches along roads and in disturbed areas, and of course, in old burn areas.
