One of the showy May/June bloomers in Ponderossa forests, our particular flavor of Wyethia is thought to be a hybrid between W. amplexicaulis and W. arizonica. This plant, along with Balsamorhiza sagittata put on an amazing summer display on the Hoffhein's Connection trail on the Dry Fork loop.
