Description:

This plant is not actually found in SW Colorado. It is found in Eastern Colorado and apparently in SE Utah.  Southwest Colorado Wildflowers has some great information about some of the confusion. That said, there are some spectacular specimens along Florida Road in Durango that are likely introduced, but have spread on their own.
